ARI# 1055153 | DOB: 6/23/2004
Ilsa came to us from BC Canada. With mostly Canadian ancestors with some Chilean as well. She is a calm easy to handle female with nice density. Ilsa is a very mild mannered girl and she gives us no problems with monthly herd health. She has been proven to be an easy breeder and had no birthing or mothering issues with her pregnancies previous to coming to our herd. Description

Champagne is the perfect name for her were the comments of those that looked at her at the Southern Select show in March 2013. She is a sweet even tempered girl, much like her dam. Her fiber boasts a bold crimp and nice bundling and plenty of shine. A large cria weighing in at 20 lbs at birth, she did not look back and soon became our largest cria of the 2012 crop even though she is one of the youngest.

Champagne has grown into a lovely large boned female. We had high hopes for her to be a part of our foundation herd. But not all things you wish for actually come true. Champagne delivered a very nice Dark Fawn female cria as shown in the picture here. Unfortunately Champagne developed an infection in her udder that was passed along to her cria and the cria did not survive beyond 9 days of life. The infection was cleared, however our Vet has suggested that Champagne not be used for breeding purposes as she may have done some damage to her mammary glands which would not make good milk for future cria.

Champagne will be sold as a Pet / Fiber animal only and only with an additional alpaca ( or two or three ) to any new farm. She would make a wonderful auntie and companion for another breeding female.
