"Luster, luster, luster... it's all about the luster and this male is just loaded with it." "Hands down, my favorite." "Beautiful, beautiful male." Comments from the judge at the 2007 Kentucky Classic, where Valentino, in his very first show, was awarded first place white yearling male and white male color champion! And, the lock, luster and presence are no accident. Valentino was selectively bred from a pedigree strictly of the highest standards; Accoyo Inca and Accoyo Jackpot being his grandsires with champion sire and dam, Accoyo Belmonte and Accoyo Sara Bonita. It doesn't get much better than this full Accoyo young male. Valentino is the kind of male you can only hope to be born to a foundation female. Breeding for color? Valentino's dam is light fawn, and Valentino himself has a light fawn top knot. We are thrilled with this guy, and can't wait for him enter herdsire status when he comes of age.
After being shorn in June, at NAILE 2007, Valentino showed in the 3-8" division where he took first place and color champion (reserve was an unshorn animal). Judge Amy Bliss-Miller declared that he was "in his own league" and raved about his superior luster, all the way into his leg fiber, great conformation, lock structure and the fact that his regrowth was outstanding. Her main emphasis, and we are not surprised, was that amazing luster!
