Amanda is a full Accoyo female with outstanding fiber and perfect conformation. Her dam, 6Peruvian Accoyo Amada, is a direct import from Julio Barredo's ranch in Peru, and as such is a large boned female and a producer of top quality alpacas with dense fiber and size. Her sire, Blue Ribbon's Accoyo Moonbeam, is a magnficent male with dense fiber and a high frequency crimp, with numerous blue ribbon placings.
Amanda's beige colored fiber is bright and dense with a very soft handle. Her fiber has a nice bold and consistent crimp and a very long staple length of 6 inches for 9 months of growth!
Yocum-McColl tested her fiber at 21.4 microns with a SD of 4.2 microns a CV of 19.8% and only 2.7% of fibers greater than 30.
