  DESCRIPTION

Sierra was just what Shady Creek Farm was hoping for when they bred her dam, Thistledown's Shannon of Cairngorm, to Sauk Creek Sebastian. Sebastian is one of those males that just captivates you...you can't take your eyes off of him (or your hands!) He's a solid, masculine boy with incredible density and fineness with crimp to match! Sierra has beautiful bright chocolate brown, fine fleece with a bold crimp character. Conformationally, she is solid, straight and in great proportion. She is one of those rare alpacas that seeks out kisses, even to strangers, & has no problem being touched and "messed with" .... as long as she's not pregnant !! We purchased Sierra to add both color and fineness to our foundation herd. She took with a single breeding to Americano's Dreamweaver for an April 2012 cria and 368 days later delivered a lovely crimpy brown female. She has proven to be a wonderfully attentive mother with plenty of milk. We feel this was a great match for her and will definitely repeat it in the future.

Sierra won 2nd Place Halter at the 2009 Mid-America Alpaca Show in a class of 7!

Sierra is not for sale at this time as we intend to keep her in our foundation herd.
