Our Mission Statement:
The mission of the Southville Spitters is to produce and retail fine alpaca fleece and finished products..
Farm Description:
The Southville Spitters was established in late 2007. We are a small farm in the rural, southern part of Shelby County. We have a small herd (currently six huacaya alpacas and one llama) to allow individual attention to, interaction with, and care of each animal on a daily basis. The focus of our farm is on fiber and finished products.
Directions to our Farm:
The Southville Spitters is located about midway between Louisville and Frankfort, six miles south of I-64, and just east of Southville at 8257 Hempridge Road (KY 714). Take exit 35 on I-64. Head south about 6 miles on Mount Eden Road (KY 53) to the flashing yellow light at Southville. Turn left on KY 714 (Hempridge Road) and travel east about 0.4 mile. The Southville Spitters is on the left at 8257, across the road from a large white barn complex.
