Our Mission is to breed and raise happy, healthy alpacas with high quality fiber and to offer the best customer service we possibly can.
Farm Description:
We are a small family farm. We bought this property 23 years ago to build a home that would endure and to raise our family of 3 children. The acreage was used mainly for play and recreation. About 8 years ago we saw our first alpaca at a small farmer's market. We were very intrigued and started researching and visitng farms. Well, our children are grown now and we wanted to do something with our property. We had talked for years about alpacas and "what if". We decided that starting an alpaca farm would meet our needs. So a year ago we started making plans for fencing and shelters and alpacas. We found 3 darling females and off we went. We purchased one more pregnant girl and now we have 15 alpacas (babies started arriving in the fall- in fact one was born on the same day my granddaughter was coming into the world.) My children were as excited about our fall babies as we were. We are expecting six more babies in the Fall 2012. We have found this to be a very lively occupation (along with our full time jobs) and are having fun getting to know all the alpaca's personalities. Our grandson is 14 and loves to come help us. We also have a granddaughter 6 and one 3 and they love to get kisses from the babies.
We chose our farm name because our son was always interested in knights and shining armor and thought we should have a family crest. The idea grew from that along with our logo and names for our babies.
We would love for you to come visit our farm. Please call Carol (859-227-8924) for an appointment. We would introduce you to our alpacas and our farm.
