She has also served as a member of the AOA Board and currently serves on the Alpaca Owners Assocation Judge's Training & Certification Committee. Char has her BME from Florida State University (Piano /woodwinds) and has always had a creative spirit. She enjoys many crafts and working with fiber including spinning, dying, felting and weaving. Early on she noticed that very few alpaca owners did anything with the fleece. She had her mentor (retired AOA Judge Kathy Klay) teach her how to skirt fleece. Char purchased Fleeces To Go in 2016. She also teaches “No Fear Fleece Skirting” seminars in an effort to get the fiber off the farms and into production.
